Pika family

Pikaflare,Pikabud,Airchu and Pikablu stealing Pikachu's popularity XD.

Pikaflare.Fire type.The flaming rodent pokemon.

Ability: Blaze or Flame body.

An offshoot of the pika families common ancestors that moved into a volcanic environment.This pika is said to be raised just outside a volcano so that when it evolves it is used to the heat and can live inside the volcano.

Pikabud.Grass type.The jackalope pokemon.

Ability: Overgrow or Leech spores*.

*Leech spores:has a 30% chance of inflicting leech seed on contact.

A group of the pika families common ancestors moved into the forested parts of America where the species adapted to the wooded environment.The young will live and hide in trees while one parent lives in it with them to fend off predatory birds and another parent will patrol the base of the tree to fend off climbing predators.

Airchu.Normal/Flying type.The flying squirell pokemon.

Ability: Keen eye or Gluttony.

Certain proto-pikas moved into mountainous areas and adapted to the climate.The species eventually mastered the skill of controlling its weight so that it can be as heavy as a pika or light enough to live safely on clouds.

Pikablu.Water type.The river rodent pokemon.

Ability: Hydration or Swift swim.

This species hails from a branch of the pika ancestors who took to living in rivers and lakes.It can spend its whole life underwater,or on land or both depending on the choices of individuals within the species.

All of these species were widely reported between 1998 and 2000 but are rarely reported or even believed in these days.Theories for this include the above four species dying out since then or a two year wave of mass hysteria.
